Lifesaving Services

SURF LIFE SAVING QUEENSLAND IS THE PEAK SAFETY AND RESCUE AUTHORITY IN THE STATE. TO WATCH OVER THE MILLIONS OF BEACH-GOERS THAT VISIT OUR COASTLINE SLSQ'S LIFESAVING SERVICES ARE PROVIDED THROUGH A NETWORK OF VOLUNTEERS LIFESAVERS, PROFESSIONAL LIFEGUARDS, OPERATIONS SUPPORT, BEACH MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND COMMUNITY AWARENESS PROGRAMS.

All lifesaving personnel are trained in various lifesaving techniques and must attain an Award prior to performing patrol services. Surf Life Saving Queensland and Sunshine Coast Branch lifesaving services are spread across the region from Rainbow Beach to Redcliffe Peninsula.
