Camp Commando - Youth Development Program
The program concentrates on developing team-building skills and lifesaving knowledge. It provides information on opportunities and pathways both within and outside of lifesaving, and networking with members from other clubs. All clubs are encouraged to identify and nominate at least 5-10 Participants and 1-2 Leaders or Mentors to the program.
Camp Commando is open to participants in the Under 14 and Under 15 age groups who are registered financial members of a Sunshine Coast Surf Life Saving Club.
Program Leaders are appointed to facilitate activities, encourage participation and foster the personal development of the participants. The Leader positions are open to members that are 17 years and over, who are registered financial members of a Sunshine Coast Surf Life Saving Club. Leaders must hold a proficient SLSA Bronze Medallion and a current Working with Children Blue Card (for those over 18).
Camp Commando 2025 will run from the 19th to 22nd of January 2025.
